Dan Avidan of Game Grumps

Dan Avidan is a Los Angeles, California-based musician and game show host. Avidan was born in New Jersey and studied advertising at Boston University before taking improv classes in New York City. He is the lead singer for the bands Ninja Sex Party and Starbomb was previously the lead singer for Skyhill and The Northern Hues. Dan is co-host of the popular YouTube game show Game Grumps.

Ninja Sex Party

Ninja Sex Party is a musical comedy act featuring Dan Avidan and Brian Wecht. Dan performs under the stage name Danny Sexbang, and Wecht performs as Ninja Brian. The band’s concept involves a Jewish superhero with no powers and his ninja best friend writing and performing songs about unsuccessfully finding love. Ninja Sex Party has released five original albums, three cover albums, and over 50 music videos throughout its 11-year career. Ninja Sex Party was Billboard’s number one comedy act in 2018, with over 290 million YouTube views. They also reached number 42 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart with one of their cover albums.

Starbomb

Dan Avidan, Brian Wecht, and Arin Hanson are Starbomb, a musical comedy group focused on writing and performing songs about pop culture and video games. Starbomb has released three albums, including its debut, which went to number one on Billboard’s Top Comedy Albums chart. Dan is the band’s singer-songwriter on such songs as “Luigi’s Ballad,” “Rap Battle: Ryu vs. Ken,” and “Sonic’s Best Pal.”

Game Grumps

Dan Avidan is a co-host on the Let’s Play web series Game Grumps, with over 5.35 million subscribers. He and Arin Hanson, his co-host of the popular show, play console and board games in each episode, often with celebrity guests like Weird Al Yankovic and Jamie Lee Curtis. Avidan also co-hosts the Game Grumps web series Grumpcade, Steam Rolled, and Table Flip. Dan has starred in other internet series, including On the Spot, Red vs. Blue, and Good Mythical Morning.
